O Porriño is the centre of an industrial area, which is even more obvious if you arrive having walked through the Polígono Industrial das Gándaras. The town hall the pedestrian main street will lead you to is one of its kind.
What to see in O Porriño
Casa Consistorial
The town hall of O Porriño was designed by Antonio Palacios Ramilo, who was born here in and went on to design some of the most famous buildings (such as the Palacio de Cibeles) in modern Madrid. His statue is right at the foot of the building.
